Palestine Bloc Solidarity Statements
Palestine is a local issue!
The VCPL was founded over a year ago because the people of Vermont reject Israel's occupation, refuse to have their names and taxdollars fund genocide, and stand firmly with the Palestinian people and resistance.
Palestinian liberation is our own liberation. It is a collective project. Our oppressors are the same: the elite industrialist class who profit off of the military industrial complex and racism through the prison-industrial complex. As we engage in struggle, we must include Palestine solidarity in our intersectional organizing that happens by actively aligning ourselves to fight together, against the same ruling class of industrialists.
But as Palestinian organizers have demonstrated for decades, we are free when Palestine is free. We must focus on local struggle, from Migrant Justice's campaign to boycott Hannaford to Outright Vermont's protection of the rights of trans folx. We will free Palestine by rising together, and commit in our participation in VCPL to join the actions and movements called by our allies in struggle.
We fight alongside FreeHer (https://www.freehercampaign.org), MadPride (https://madfreedomadvocates.org/), Party for Socialism and Liberation (https://www.instagram.com/pslvermont/?hl=en), and others who have submitted solidarity statements showing why Palestinian liberation is essential for your cause; check out their socials to see how you can plug into their work. None of us are free until all of us are free!
